 | | Surrounding the school are four large parking lots for students. One lot is used in the summer for drivers training. | In 1968, Herbert Henry Dow High School opened as the second High School in Midland. Built off of Saginaw road, H.H. Dow High School is the home of the Chargers. Unlike Midland High, Dow Highs classrooms are all located on one floor, which includes the swimming pool shared with Midland High.
Up until 1997, when the freshman class was added, the high school taught sophomores through seniors. Also in 1997, an addition was constructed, providing the school with a new Foreign Language wing. Even more recently, a $1 million dollar science wing was built, adding new lab stations and computer equipment. This gigantic project was completed in the fall of 1999.
 | | The Pool, located on this end of the school, is the location for swim meets for both Midland and Dow High. 7th grade Middle School students from Central Intermediate travel to take swimming lessons. | The Mission of Dow High School is the succeeding:

H.H. Dow has a staff of 167 members and a student population of approximately 1390. The High School offers college preparatory, technical and special education programs. Dow High is the home of The Update,an award winning newspaper.
Besides offering many sports, Dow High also gives its students the opportunity to participate in a variety of after school clubs and organizations such as Drama, BPA, and Foreign Language Clubs.
