 | | The Park has 2 toboggan towers with 2 runs on each tower and are staffed during the set times. | The City Forest is a year round free service to the Midland Community. The City Forest has many trails for hiking, jogging or enjoying a leisurely walk. Tobogganing and sledding are offered in the wintertime and the trails can be used for cross-country skiing. Artificial snow is being made with a snow machine so sledding can be taken advantage of even when it is not snowing. Individuals may bring their own toboggan or rent one from the chalet for $3 per hour. For those wishing to stay warm, there is a chalet with a large fireplace and picnic tables. Food and drinks are available inside and bathrooms as well. The park is open year round, from 6 a.m. until 11 p.m. The current hours for tobogganing and sledding are the following: | | The Chalet, Sledding Hills and Runs are located close to eachother and to the parking available for visitors. |
Monday-Friday - 4 p.m. until 8p.m. Saturday – 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday – 12 p.m. until 9 p.m.
The City Forest is located south of Monroe Rd, from Sturgeon to Eastman and can be reached by calling 835-7011.
